Kelvin Smith Library, Case Western Reserve University Cleveland

Washington D.C. firm Hartman Cox designed the Kelvin Smith Library at Case Western University, in the early 1990s. It stands near Frank Gehry’s Peter Lewis building. The project has post-modern and neoclassical elements. A central swirling staircase rises toward a pointed, grand skylight.
