Washington D.C. firm Hartman Cox designed the Kelvin Smith Library at Case Western University, in the early 1990s. It stands near Frank Gehry’s Peter Lewis building. The project has post-modern and neoclassical elements. A central swirling staircase rises toward a pointed, grand skylight. |
