Kohn Shnier Architects and Figure 3 designed the Umbra Retail Store in Toronto, completed in 2007.
This redesign of an existing structure uses pink polycarbonate panels to bring vertical unity to the two floors. Interior ramps also bring easy transition between the layers. The panels also create an impressive icon for the store, playing on color, light, and shadow. |
