Tate Modern Museum, London England

London England’s Tate Modern Museum of modern art is a reuse of a large factory, the Bankside Power Station, just next to the Shakespeare Pavilion, next to the Thames. The extensive variety of modern art has included some amazing stuff, such as Olafur Eliasson’s Weather project in the Turbine Hall. The vast interior space allows art installations to be larger than life.

Herzog & de Meuron is designing an extension that will be tucked away from the river and add an interesting twist in the skyline.
