Oasis of the Seas – Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship

STX Europe constructed the cruise liner Oasis of the Seas, completed in 2009. With a full capacity of 8,600 people, standing 16 decks high and weighing 220,000 tons, it is the largest passenger vessel in the world. It was completed in December 2009.

A green park is punched down into the heart of the ship. It features a sprawling shopping mall, 24 restaurants, a golf course, and it is powered by 6 marine diesel engines, 3 Wärtsilä 16-cylinder common rail diesels, and 3 12-cylinder engines. Three propulsion pods are rotatable so the ship can turn quickly.
