City Center, Las Vegas

MGM Mirage and Dubai World developed the City Center on the Las Vegas Strip in Nevada. The 1,560,500 m2 urban complex includes the Aria Resort, the Veer Towers, the Harmon Hotel and Spa, the Residences at Mandarin Oriental hotels, the Vdara Condo-hotel, and 227 residential condo units. Ehrenkrantz, Eckstut & Kuhn Architects designed the general layout.

Most of the complex opened in 2009. The cost went from $4 billion to $11 billion. Lawsuits plagued the project in the midst of a serious recession.
