Hotel Q, Berlin Germany

Hotel Q was designed by GRAFT architects in Berlin, Germany just in time for the World Cup. Graft, known for their design of Brad Pitt’s studio, wraps the interior in red surfaces in an aesthetic influenced by Neil Denari. In the rooms, wrapped surfaces of calmer colors become ceilings or furniture. A spa sits on the same plane as the bed. A cocoon atmosphere is further achieved with oak floors and curved ceilings. White curtains in front of windows shield the rooms and front desk from the busy street. An interior landscape is unified yet articulates spaces. It was completed in 2004.
