Drugstore Publicis Brasserie, Paris

Michele Saee designed the 2004 renovation for the famous Publicis Drugstore, transforming it into the Publicis brasserie and bar. The building is prominent on 133 Champs Elysees in Paris.

Large front windows overlook the historic site Place Charles de Gaulle, and seating terraces encroach onto the pedestrian way. Glass and steel flow in swirls, an organic version of the Louvre, I guess. Different sets of stairways lead to restaurants, newsstands, cigar chops, wineries, and more. The original 1972 structure was built after the Haussman building burned down.
