| Denton Corker Marshall designed the 38-story Brisbane Sqaure in Brisbane, Australia. The building has retail, offices, and facilities for the City Council. But the central library has come to stand out as a huge cultural landmark.Post-modernism meets constructionist interiors with cracks and layers. The bold colors of the ground floor exterior give way to magnificent colors in the interior lighting scheme. Blue seeps through rifts in the ceiling and intimate red reflects the fine wood floors. Yellow is a special space for intense business. |
