Coop Himmelblau designed the Akademie der Bildenden Künste addition in München, Germany, completed in 2005. The design won a competition in 1992 involving 178 architects.
Gottfried Neureuther designed the old building for the acadomy. It was completed in 1887 in the Venetian Renaissance style. The new addition in a sort of post-modern style assembles grids of windows and sleek metal exteriors. |
