IT University, Amager Copenhagen

IT_university_itu_copenhagen

Henning Larsen designed the ITU campus in Copenhagen Denmark as two buildings that join with a public lobby in the middle. The professional steel and glass boxes along the river contain two courtyards, through which the viewer proceeds into an unexpected lobby. Pods of seating areas pop out into the tall, daylit space, a call for creativity. Digital projects on these pods reflect that university’s programs for digital design. The meeting rooms and classrooms have the same professional look as the outside, retaining this modern creative design of light and space. It opened in 2004.
