Larry Oltmanns designed the Hong Kong Convention Center in Wan Chai North, most recently expanded in 2009. Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP and Wong & Ouyang (HK) Ltd led the design.

Covered walkways lead to the reclaimed land, with a layered roof like bird-wings covering a massive glass curtain wall looking out over the harbor. The 27,870m area can accomodate 4,500 people.
