Steven Holl, David Chipperfield and Frank O. Gehry designed some of the buildings in the Düsseldorf Hafen in Germany. This rejuvinating project for the Rhine harbour includes the Westdeutscher Rundfunk, the towering Antenne Düsseldorf, the governmental Landtag, and the Rheinturm.
Popular culture and media communication companies mingle here, as dynamic structures combine the function and form of these important social aspects in Germany. It is further significant that the district should lie on the Rhein, a river which still today is the heart of the West.
