Contemporary Art Museum in León, Spain

Luis M. Mansilla and Emilio Tuñón designed this winner of the Mies van der Roh award. In the MUSAC in Leon, each exhibit is seperate and interconnected for various activities. A wide space full of variuos activites provides “the contemporary manifestation of the variable and the perennial, the different and the same, the universal and the transitory, as an echo of our own diversity and equality as individuals.” The walls are site cast concrete and the skylights have clear, translucent, and colored glass.
